1) Insertion - both sides have straight edges so they can be sewn between two pieces of fabric or laces.

2) Edging - one edge is finished with designs while the other edge has a heading which contains threads that can be used to gather or shape the edging.

3) Beading - has holes or eyelets along the length through which you can thread ribbon.

Our heirloom French/English laces are 90% cotton/10% nylon. Avoid hot iron-use medium/low setting with press cloth, if desired.
