Rolanda Heimer has been active in the doll artistry scene since the early 80s. After her education in painting and graphic arts she was looking for a new challenge; she found it in creating dolls. Her endeavour in this new field started with caricatures and the sculpting of popular faces from the past. Her extensive experience has led her to receive many national and international honors published in books and other media.
Realism is Rolanda’s paramount goal in her art and it shows. Her dolls always take on unique personalities, with the intent to make everyday life more pleasurable.
All of Mrs. Heimer’s babies have successfully sold in vinyl since 1996 through a multitude of companies, both domestic and foreign. It is the joy that she derives from her work that she hopes to pass on to the collectors who revel in the beauty of the darling babies she creates. |
