First in a Series taught by Connie Palmer! "Beginning Heirloom Sewing" one-day class, Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. Learning French sewing techniques will be easy & fun as you construct this gorgeous pillow featuring pintucked batiste, embroidered Swiss insertions, entredeux, French lace, beading for the ribbon color of your choice & a ruffle on both ends of the pillow. 2 design options available. Let Connie take the mystery out of a Madeira edge. Connie says, "I love all the antique pillow shams. They take me back to a more romantic time. How soothing & relaxing your room will look with some large pillow shams. What a way to fram all the techniques we will use to fill the center of the pillow sham. We will use Spaghetti bias & a twin needle to make our design. To finish, we will use the candlewicking & vintage stitches or any of your favorite decorative stitches." Click for more info.

Modeled by Sarah - sewn by Connie! Elizabeth is a smocked tank top that buttons up the front. The waist is smocked with a few rows of smocking. Straps can be made from fabric, lace or ribbons. Chest measurements: XS 28"-30" to XL 40"-42". Great tops for that young adult or teen who want that updated smocked look. Click for close-up view.
