Whatnots Club

Join us for the final three months of Kim Diehl's Whatnots club. Kim Diehl is a quilt and fabric designer and has published many books and patterns. Her fabric colors are beautiful with deep, vibrant colors that lean to the "old fashioned" look. She has designed 6 new small projects just for the Whatnots Club from her current fabric line, "Sunday Best", that are fun to make and can actually be completed in a day (or two).

Our club meets each month on the 3rd Thursday. The classroom will be available between classes if you want to work on the project longer.

At the club Christina will share tips and ideas to make the projects easier to construct. Plus, we will have a lot of fun talking and sharing treats. The club fee is $5.00 per session and we require you to sign up in advance so we will know how many kits to have available. <

The kit fees will vary slightly each month depending on the amount of fabric in the kits. They will usually be in the $20.00-$35.00 price range. You will also receive some extra little tips from Kim each month along with a recipe for something yummy. We look forward to having you.

Hexified Panel Quilt 2-part workshop

A Hexified Panel Quilt is the result of experimenting with and merging several techniques that use 60º triangles sewn into hexies, creating a new hybrid design utilizing fabric panels. Each quilt made with this pattern will be unique as every quilt maker will decide which of three possible layouts they prefer when making their hexies out of equilateral triangles, as well as their individual choice of color flow around the panel. Learn this fun technique of using 60º triangles to make kaleidoscopic hexie blocks. What appears challenging can be accomplished with a simple process and no Y-seams.

Part 1, guides you through cutting and streamlined assembly of the units. Your homework between classes is to sew and pin together all of your hexie units.

Part 2, designing your color flow and top construction.
