Appliqué Society

The TAS Club is back! We meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month.

If you love appliqué or are just interested in appliqué, please come join us. There is no fee, just fellowship as we stitch. If you are new to appliqué, this would be a wonderful opportunity to find a project and pick up some pointers and tips.

Bring your project and enjoy a pleasantly productive afternoon with like minded friends.

Stitching Society

We have come to the end of our Stitching classes but will continue to meet on the first Thursday of the month, from 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon to work on completing our wool hexagon blocks.

Twilling

Twilling is an old-fashioned stitch that adds a lot of elegance to any project. It is very easy to do and also very addictive. Once you learn the technique the possibilities for embellishing quilts are endless. We are offering this one hour class on different days to accommodate any and all schedules!

Vintage Machine Club

This Club is for those of you who have those cute vintage machines and LIKE TO USE them! Come spend a day stitching with Jennifer. Bring your own project or Jeni will tempt you with a new one.

Is there an old machine back in the closet you have entertained the idea of actually USING someday? This will give you the opportunity to use your machine while sewing with friends who also love and appreciate the great stitching these vintage machines produce.

This is a monthly club that meets on either the 4th or 5th Friday of every month beginning in January.

Late Night at QB&P

Spend a Friday night sewing, snacking and visiting with other quilters. This is one of our most popular events and we always have a great time while accomplishing a lot of quilting. Bring your current quilting projects and a snack to share. This is a great opportunity to get in some quality quilting time while enjoying the fellowship of other quilters.

Sew Day with Jeni

This began as an extra sewing day for those working on the Farm Girl Vintage Block of the month, but now that the Farm Girl quilt is finished, the Sew Day was just too much fun to give up. If you want to spend a day sewing with a great bunch of ladies, come join the fun, Jeni always has a bright new kit or project to share.

Sew Day

It's a "Work" party! We are holding Sew Day on the third Wednesday of each month. Bring your machine and current project to work on. A day spent with quilting friends will improve your outlook on life! Be sure to sign up as although our classroom is large, we won't overfill it.

Hand Embroidery

If you are wanting to brush up on your embroidery skills or are a first time learner, this class will give you the confidence to jump in and get started. The class will cover the basic embroidery stitches that are used in many projects: stem stitch, back stitch, outline stitch, lazy daisy, French knots, and the blanket stitch.

Whatnots Club

Join us for Kim Diehl's Whatnots club - Collection 5 . Kim Diehl has designed six more cute, small projects using her new fabric line WELCOME WAGON. Her fabric colors are beautiful with deep, vibrant colors that lean to the "old fashioned" look. Our club meets each month on the 3rd Thursday. The classroom will be available between 2:00 and 8:00 and you may come at any time (after 2:00) and then leave when you need to. At the club Christina will share tips and ideas to make the projects easier to construct. Plus, we will have a lot of fun talking and sharing treats. The club fee is $30.00 which covers all the club meetings and entitles you to have the first opportunity to purchase kits at a special pricing. The kit fees will vary slightly depending on the amount of fabric in the kits. They will usually be in the $20.00-$35.00 price range. You will also receive some extra little tips from Kim each month along with a recipe for something yummy.

Quilt Camp

Three full days of sewing – just think how much you can accomplish in that time! Each day begins at 9:30, on Thursday we will sew until 7:00 pm. Friday we will stop at midnight (unless you decide to fold earlier) and finish up by 4:00 pm on Saturday. Bring snacks to share and your sewing projects. In order to keep it as economical as possible, we will ONLY provide the Friday evening meal. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or there are a number of restaurants nearby that you can go to, or order a take out meal to bring back

Beginning Long Arm Machine Quilting

This two-hour class will help you learn the basics of long arm machine quilting. Whether you are looking to purchase a machine or have already purchased one, this will help you get started on your creative journey with basic information. For experienced machine quilters this class is excellent as a refresher and maybe adding a few new tips and tricks to your quilting knowledge.

Topics include how to choose a machine for your needs, general information how to use and maintain your machine. You will learn how to prepare the quilt for loading, how to keep your quilt flat and square, choices for backing, batting, threads, and needles. You will learn ways to decide what to quilt, whether you want to use pantographs or a computerized system or if you want to try your hand at free motion work. We will learn some basic motifs and background fills. Prepare to be inspired.

Stitch’n Sisters

Needle Tatting

This is not the way your grandmother tatted -- it is MUCH EASIER! You will learn how to needle tat and be comfortable with reading the patterns, yes even grandma's shuttle patterns can be used and the outcome is just the same. A great way to make beautiful trims for crazy quilt blocks or edge a candle mat.

Sew Together Bag

The queen of all zipper pouches - The Sew Together Bag! Join us as we walk through this pattern with you and trust us you'll be hooked to make many more. The bag features three interior zipper pouches and a large exterior zipper that not only closes the whole bag but becomes its own handle. The details on this bag are top notch.

Please note you must cut out all of your pieces prior to the class. Students must be able to independently operate a sewing machine. Previous zipper experience is helpful, but not required. You'll be a pro at zippers by the end of the class!

Sewing with clear vinyl & zippers---Not me you say!

This is a fun beginner class for any of you that might be apprehensive about sewing with clear vinyl and/or zippers. We will use Bridget's Bagettes pattern (required) to make a cute bag for your sewing or other needs. You will also learn some of my tips and tricks for sewing clear vinyl and zippers.
