Thread - Aurifil
Made with long staple egyptian cotton this 50 wt. cotton mako thread is ideal for detailed machine embroidery, redwork, quilting, lace design, and sewing. It has really taken off with quilters, having been used in numerous award winning quilts. Long staple cotton gives this thread the strength needed for high speed machines. It is also mercerized, giving it a sheen not found in most cotton threads.

Thread - DMC Embroidery Floss
DMC’s embroidery floss is a brilliant six-strand divisible thread made of double mercerized 100% long staple cotton in a pull-skein put-up. There are 8.7 yards per skein. Our favorite colors for redwork and simple embroidery projects are listed below; however, we carry the full line inside our brick-and-mortar store. Inquire if you need colors that are not shown.

Thread - Star Thread

Star Thread is a 100% natural cotton fiber thread, 35 wt. 3-ply biodegradable, highly absorbent and static resistant. Mercerized for greater strength and luster, increased dye affinity and low elongation, there are 1200 yards per spool which makes it a great value. Use this thread for piecing, hand quilting and machine quilting. Thread will age at the same rate as the cotton fabric fibers in your quilt. It won’t leave lint in your machine like many other cotton threads. Each spool is shrink wrapped for protection.

Thread - Tatting Thread
Tatting is the old-fashioned art of lacemaking that our grandmothers used to do. Needle tatting is somewhat easier to learn than shuttle tatting but both are worth the effort. There is no visual difference between these two methods in the finished product. Our tatting thread is DMC excellent quality 100% cotton mercerized six-cord thread in size 80 weight. There are 100 yards per ball of thread.
