Grandma's Attic hosts a wide variety of classes, from those for the novice up through advanced level material. Taught by well-qualified teachers, you will develop new skills, learn to use up-to-date equipment, and participate in class discussions. Register online or call the shop at 503-623-0451.

In this four week class, you will learn the basics of quilt making. Donna will teach you how to use rotary cutting equipment and make perfect quarter inch seams. This is the ultimate design class if you love the concept of making your own unique jacket. Award winner Deb Sorem will take you step-by-step through designing your own stunning jacket using paper piecing and clothing construction techniques. Glorified Nine Patch Class
This popular 1930s-era quilt is made easy with templates. You make a simple nine-patch block cut with elongated points, and piece using a gentle curve. This is a great scrap quilt or make it with two or three fabrics for a different look. This class is suitable for an intermediate quilter. Peggy Gelbrich, Instructor. Can you imagine a quilt that costs you only $10.00? ($5.00 each month if you choose batiks.) That's how much you'll pay for 12 quilt blocks if you follow all the rules and come to class faithfully! Each in-store class includes door prize drawings, demonstrations, and free patterns. If you miss a class, you pay an additional $5.00 to get started again. Theme this year is The Bobby Sox Sisters. We'll follow three young girls, Apple Betty, Patty Poundcake and Jenny Jello during the 1940s and 50s as they grow up, sharing their stories, sewing and craft projects, recipes, scrapbooks and household tips. Color choices available are: 1930s, 19th Century, Batiks ($5 each month) & Florals. Classes meet once each month. Join at any time. Note: $10 to get you started (Batiks additional charge); $5 for each class session that you missed.
