Anything But Ugly
Make this little sparkler with seasonal fabrics, colors or metallic prints in time to light up your Christmas decor! Highlight one print in the background or use a solid as the background with prints as the ’X’s. 2 Charms + a Yard
2 Charms + a Yard
Using 2 Charm packs gives you a jump start towards piecing. All the cutting is the one yard of fabric and your machine will be humming! Add the benefit of variety and completely coordinated fabrics and your quilt will be fast, easy and lovely!
Level: Beginner
Instructor: Mary Honas
Cost: $40

Stopped Short (of a Star)
Stopped Short (of a Star)
A sunburst quilt pattern has diamond shaped patches without any long star point sections or set-in seams! Rounds of color are made with strip piecing before the sunburst appears. Graduations of one color or lots of scrappy placement will each look wonderful. A square or octagonal quilt unless ’expanded’ with borders to meet other applications. You can choose to make sweet small diamonds for a traditional look or enlarge the diamond to show off large scale prints or a fabric too pretty to cut.....careful (but not fussy) sewing required.
Level: Confident Beginner
Instructor: Cynthia Schrader
Cost: $40

Machine Applique
Machine Applique
There are several machine appliqué techniques. For more complex shapes, Mary prefers this technique using wash away stabilizer and glue! We will focus on tracing or marking your chosen shape, cutting the stabilizer, securing the edge of your fabrics around curves of your shape and stitching it down with a blanket stitch, small zigzag or satin stitch of your choice. You will be amazed at the results!
Level: Beginner
Instructor: Mary Honas
Cost: $30
