Creative Quilting with your Walking Foot
Learn how to prepare a quilt sandwich & quilt with a walking foot. You will learn how to start and stop your quilting lines, stitch straight lines and gentle curves. Plan quilting designs using these basics shapes. Using these skills your next quilt will be free of tucks and puckers. You can say you did it yourself! Kit provided. This is a pre-requisite for Free Motion Made Fun. As an added bonus, bring a quilt top for suggestions on quilting designs.

With a solution to every cutting challenge – whether you are vertically challenged, find your ruler slips as you cut, or need help finding the right line to measure, let Mary help you find the answer.

At the end of our six sessions, you will have learned the basic skills of contemporary quiltmaking: fabric selection and care, rotary cutting, accurate piecing, quilting with a walking foot, and binding. You choose the project to fit your time—with homework: a 40" x 52" quilt or, all done in class, an 18" x 42" table runner. No experience is required.
