Our patterns focus on a safe way to dress with comfort and style. Portlandia is an
unlined coat that can be made reversible to give you two unique looks. Side 1
features designer patch pockets with hidden security pockets inside. Side 2 has
two patch pockets with zipper closures. The generous hood will protect you from
whatever Mother Nature throws your way. If you choose fabric that looks different
on each side, we recommend using the solid on Side 1 and the variation on Side 2. If
your fabric looks the same on both sides, keep the solid on Side 1 and create your own
design with paint, stamps or stencils on Side 2. Enclosed are ideas for embellishing
your fabric and waterproofing it to make a beautiful raincoat. Rain or shine, you will
look smashing while you’re dashing.
Fabric: two-faced fabric (fabric with two attractive sides), taffeta rainwear,
nylon rainwear, any 60" fabric that can be treated to become water repellant
