Join Pam as she shows you how to make one of these beautiful fabric baskets or bowls with double sided fusible batting, no clothes line or shaping required. You won't believe how easy they are!

Supply List:
- Sewing machine that will do a straight stitch and zig zag stitch
- Vertical spool pin for machine
- Walking foot for sewing machine
- Size 90 or 100 jeans needles
- Fabric:
o Small Basket: Ύ yd cut into nine 2 ½” strips or nine precut strips + ½ yd for binding and bottom
o Medium Basket: 1 yd cut into twelve 2 ½” strips or twelve precut strips + ½ yd for binding and bottom
o Large Basket: 1 1/4 yd cut into fifteen 2 ½” strips or fifteen precut strips + Ύ yd for binding and bottom
- High quality invisible thread such as Aurifil or Superior brand OR 50 weight cotton to match fabrics - this will show on the outside of your basket
- Double sided fusible batting cut to 2” strips – 1 yard for each size (Duet Fuze II by Bosal, comes precut in 2 Ό” strips or by the yard)
- Craf-tex plus double sided fusible interfacing or Peltex II – large size two 13” squares, med size two 11” squares, small size two 9” squares
- Buttons for embellishment
- Thermal thimbles to protect your fingers during pressing (you will want these!)
- 16 – 18” square of parchment paper
- Olfa Circle Cutter (optional, but helpful)
- Sewing clips or Kwik Clips large size - need two
- Pins
- Thimble or Poke-a-dots (stick on thimbles – awesome!)
- Regular sewing supplies, seam ripper, fabric scissors, thread snips, etc.
- Camden Bowls pattern by Auntie’s Two
- I will bring fine bobbin thread, hand sewing needles and heavy colored thread for you to use in class.

Please come to class with the following cut:
- 2 ½” fabric strips for the basket sides
- Double sided fusible batting cut to 2” strips or roll of pre-cut 2 Ό” wide batting
- Fabric and craf-tex squares cut as stated in bullet points above for size basket making
- 1 Ό” strips for binding of basket bottom (2 for sm & med, 3 for large)

*If you want to accomplish more in class, press your strips according to the pattern directions prior to class. It will take about an hour to do the pressing (depending on the size basket you make). When pressing, use steam and hold iron on each section being pressed for at least 5 seconds. Pressing longer will NOT make it stick better. Pressing longer will make the fusible melt and absorb into the fabric. Then the fusible will be gone. Pinning one end of the strip/batting to the ironing board while pressing makes it easier. Wearing the thermal thimbles will protect your fingers from the steam shooting out of the iron.
