ham.Serger recommended for both garments. Over blouse: 1 larger (interesting) button.
Overblouse: Loose-fitting, pullover, hip-length top has full-length tapered sleeves. Crossover
fronts with bulk-free, narrow, cut-on front facings, mitered corners, button and loop closure,
machine-stitched hem. Wrong side of fabric will show. Side vents and slightly curved back
hem . Horizontal below-waist seam, vertical edgestitched princess seaming.
Shell: Closer-fitting, pullover, sleeveless shell, in 9 sizes, with bust darts starting at the
armseye. Narrow neck and armhole facings, horizontal below-waist seam, side vents, and
straight hem. Edgestitching and topstitching through the shell.
Suggested Fabric - Overblouse: Linen, Linen Blends, Medium-Weight Cotton, Silk Shantung,
Challis, Silk Matka, Dupionni, Light-Weight Denim, Tencel, Medium-Weight Rayon,
Lightweight Wool, Hand-Woven Silk,. Pique, Tropical Weight Wool, Silk Organza. The draped
lapels show the wrong side of the fabric. Not suitable for Diagonals. Allow extra fabrics
for matching plaids and strips. Shell: Linen, Linen Blends, Medium-Weight Cotton, Silk
Shantung, Dupionni, Light-Weight Denim, Tencel, Medium-Weight Rayon, Lightweight Wool,
Wool Crepe, Topical Weight Wools, 3-Ply Silk, Microfiber, Chambray, Silk Crepe De Chine Not
suitable for Diagonals. Allow extra fabrics for matching plaids and stripes.
