Seeing lots of these on Pinterest or Instagram lately? A vintage look, with bright new fabrics. Carol, our newest instructor, will show you how to create this beautiful rug in no time at all.


Supply List:
A sewing machine with zig zag capabilities and a zig zag foot. A table attachment is very helpful. Jeans needle #14-18 1 Jelly Roll 1 1/3 yards 100% cotton batting 96" wide. 1 large spool of thread to match jellyroll 3-4 pre-wound bobbins Wonder clips optional but helpful Small ruler Pencil or other fabric marking tool Fabric scissors Basic sewing supplies Paper grocery bag Work to be done prior to class 1. Cut batting into 2 1/2" strips 2. Join the Jelly Roll Strips in the order you want them in the rug: outer fabric to inner. Join them together as you would binding, with diagonal seams to eliminate bulk. (Note if you are working with batiks or solids, pay special attention that your seams are all on the same side,) Fan fold the joined strips at 12"-14".
